The hunting system in South Africa
For foreign clients, hunting is arranged by a hunting outfitter, who selects a suitable hunting area, that in most cases covers a few thousand hectares.
The actual hunt is guided by a state examined Professional Hunter. These Professional Hunters are trusted by the Game Farm owners and they accompany the client from the start to the end of the safari. The client is himself responsible for the shot.

The hunting Season in South Africa last from the 1st of February to the end of November.
There are two methods of hunting:
- Walk and Stalk
- 4x4 Vehicle

The client may choose the method he prefers.
Usual hunting times (also by clients choice):
- Hunt begins by sunrise
- Lunch break
- Mid-afternoon hunt
- Night Hunt with a spotlight
